    • 4th of July Games:

      Always on the 4th of July, these infectiously fun games are designed for kids of all ages. Have a favorite? We do them all! The three-legged race, sack races, relay, egg toss, treasure hunt, and more. Everybody is a winner with great prizes from our prize vault. Come on come all and DON’T MISS OUT! 10 am July 4th Long Lake Town Ballfield.

    • Trailblazers Youth Trips:

      Join the Town of Long Lake and the Hamilton County Trailblazers team up for a group of activities for children ages 3rd Grade and Up. All trips are maximum of 10. Look for the ropes course, rafting trips, kayak and canoe trips and other exciting adventures! Call the Long Lake Events Office at 518-624-3077 or check our on line calendar listings here.

    • Kid’s Painting & Art Class:

      Create, paint, express yourself in a light summer class custom designed to your level of ability. Paint and draw in nature. Offered Wednesday’s 1 – 3pm. Mt. Sabattis. For kids ages 9-12. Call 518.624.3077 to sign up. $5 per class

    • The Amazing Race Road Rally:

      Wed, July 22nd, 7pm at Mt. Sabattis Geiger Arena. Drive around Long Lake following a ridiculous set of instructions. Every car must have licensed driver and a navigator comfortable reading the kooky directions provided. This is a timed event (not a race!) If you get in too quickly you will be disqualified! Come in closest to the time as deemed by event organizers and the B-Team testers!. Ever heard of a Chinese Fire Drill? Ever stood in the middle of town and wave at strangers? Now is your chance. $5 a car. Driver and Navigator required. Bring the whole family. Fun for everyone! Wear costumes to help shave time off your score!

    • Swimming Lessons:

      July 7th – August 8th.
      Monday – Thursdays mornings at the Long Lake Town Beach. Sign up at the Long Lake Town Beach the first week in July. See Brooke!

    • Youth Center:

      Located at the Mt. Sabattis Geiger Center.
      Tuesdays, Wednesday’s & Thursday’s 7pm – 9pm.

      On vacation with your parents and you’re super bored? Escape up to the Mt. Sabattis Geiger Arena and make some new friends. Games, activities, basketball and tennis, ping pong. Make new friends!

      Kids under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible party. Sign in required.

      Candy & soda for sale $1.00 to help support the teen center.
      Basketball, tennis, foosball, skateboard, games, fun, cards available.

    • Sports Nights:

      In 2015, Monday Night: Open Soccer, 6pm LL Town Ball Field with Jim Piraino ages 12 and up. It’s a great recreational activity located at the Long Lake Town Ball Field. Join in the fun. Jim works on skills, tricks and plenty of game play is seen by participants. Participation is free. Sponsored by The Town of Long Lake.

    • Cardboard Float Boat Races:

      In 2014 Look for new days of the week for these events!

      Saturday, July 18th. Come to the Town Beach at 11am, build a boat and competition will be at 1pm. Enjoy the backdrop of the US Waterski Show Team as they train and exhibit special tricks before their show!

      Thursday, August 5th 5pm – 7pm with DJ’s Andrew McClelland and Patrick Bedore. This year we’re changing the date to Thursday! So mark your calendars! Cardboard Box Float Races! Use only duct tape and cardboard to make your boat! Last one floating wins! The Town of Long Lake will provide cardboard and duct tape, but feel free to create your masterpiece at home. Prizes awarded! Order dinner and picnic on the beach. Enjoy music, fun and games at the waterfront under Red Cross Certified Lifeguard Supervision. Bring your chairs and your blankets. Games & prizes for kids. All ages welcome. Come by boat, plane, feet or car.

    • LL Library Summer Reading Program:

    • Long Lake Paddling Olympics:

      Friday, July 24th, 2015. It’s fun, it’s cool and kooky! Boat races for all ages. Try your hand at wild, wet, fun aquatic navigational competition. Registration is free. Look for zany races including Bang and Go Back, Standing Paddling, Hand Paddling, Dress up Relay, Kayak Races, The Dipper, Back Paddling, Hurry Scurry and many more! Boats and Lifejackets provided. The Long Lake Lions Club sells a great BBQ and the lifeguards are on duty if you want to swim. Sponsored by the LL Association. Free registration 10:30am. Races start at 11am.

    • Zoomobile:

      On August 5th Raquette Lake Library at 10am and Long Lake – Mt. Sabattis Pavilion at Noon. Exotic creatures visit from the Utica Zoo. A mobile unit transports a variety of creatures (not native to the Adirondacks) Meet snakes, lizards, turtles during this unique visit. In the morning the Zoomobile visits the RL Library at 10am and expect the Zoomobile to arrive in LL at the Mt. Sabattis Pavilion around Noon. (depending on traffic!).

    • Scavenger Hunt:

      On August 12th. Pick up your list at the Geiger Arena at Mt. Sabbath at 9am and hunt for fun items. Bring your cell phone because you’ll need to take pictures! Pick up the master list ranging from easy to unusual in the Long Lake Scavenger Hunt. Open to all ages. Time limit and fun for the whole family. Prizes too! Meet at the Long Lake Town Offices at 10am for your list! Within the 448 square miles of Long Lake we have driftwood, picnic tables, lifejackets, coins, chicken wings, beach sand, vacation planners, fur pelts… who knows what will be on the list? It’s anyone’s guess, but join us!
